Paced, Not Overwhelming

Grief doesn't move in a straight line, and neither does everything else.

The Lighthouse meets you at whichever stage you're actually in- the first devastating days, or the harder-to-name weight of a few months on- without demanding you take in more than you're ready for.

Built for New Zealand

Local funeral homes, local celebrants, local support organisations- not generic advice pulled from overseas.

Every resource inside The Lighthouse is chosen for people navigating loss here.

Templates, Not Blank Pages

Notifying a bank, cancelling a subscription, telling an employer- these are hard enough without having to find the right words while you're grieving.

The Lighthouse gives you copy-paste templates for the admin no one teaches you how to write.

When grief leaves you lost at sea

The Lighthouse offers steady guidance, practical support & compassionate companionship- helping you naviagte one step at a time to calmer waters.

THE SIX BEACONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Lighthouse?

The Lighthouse is a guided bereavement aftercare companion - a structured, paced resource for the emotional and practical realities that follow a death. It's organised into Beacons, each one meeting you at a different stage of what you're going through.

What's included in The Lighthouse?

Four Beacons at launch - Shelter, Steadying, Navigation, and Holding - covering the first hours, arranging the funeral, the admin that follows, and supporting the people around you, especially children. It includes copy-paste templates, New Zealand-specific directories, and guidance you can return to at any time.

Do I need to go through the Beacons in order?

No. Each Beacon meets you where you are. If you're further along and don't need Shelter's immediate first-hours guidance, you can go straight to Navigation or Holding - whatever's relevant to you right now.

How long do I have access to The Lighthouse?

The Lighthouse is a one-time payment of $119 NZD for lifetime access. There's no subscription, and no time limit on when you use it.

What are Horizon and Legacy?

Horizon and Legacy are two additional Beacons - covering alternative farewell options and long-term remembrance - that will become available as The Lighthouse grows. They're not part of the current four launch Beacons, but will be grandfathered to you for when they they go live if you have purchased the lauch version.

Created by a daughter

Here's what I know for sure: nobody prepares you for what comes after.

We lost my dad to stomach cancer in 2024. And in the weeks that followed, I watched something break my heart all over again - my mum, who should have had the space to grieve and pick up the pieces, was instead sitting on hold with a bank. Overwhelmed and confused.

That is not okay. That was never supposed to be her job.

So I made a decision to do something to help others going through the same thing.

And The Lighthouse is that decision, made real.

It is not a product. It's a promise- that in your hardest, most disorienting days, someone has already thought of what you need. Already done the thinking. Already done the holding. So your nervous system can relax, knowing that everything has been thought of and nothing will get missed.
